Bob and Pam at the Sea of Galilee
Bob and Pam Rognlien met working on the mission field, smuggling Bibles into communist Eastern Europe, were married in 1986, and have been serving together in mission ever since. Bob earned degrees from Pacific Lutheran University and Princeton Theological Seminary before spending a year in the Old City of Jerusalem on a Post-Graduate Fellowship studying New Testament archaeology and sociology at the Ecole Biblique et Archeologique and the Hebrew University. During that time Bob and Pam fell in love with the people and the places of the Holy Land and developed a passion to introduce others to the kinds of spiritual experiences they had in the historical places where biblical events unfolded. The idea for The Footsteps of Jesus Experience came while watching tour groups come and go in the Old City and seeing how much of the authentic spiritual experience they were missing. Over the past 20 years Bob and Pam have been introducing people to the unique spiritual experience of actually walking in the historical footsteps of Jesus. Bob has served as pastor of a local church for 25 years and is a published author and conference speaker. He and Pam train pastors and church leaders in missional discipleship with 3DMovements and are Guardians in The Order of Mission. They currently live in Torrance, California where they love to share life and mission with their two grown sons, their lovely daughter-in-law, a Beagle named Calvin, and an Amazon Parrot named Lulu.
